Teaching according to the Cambridge Curriculum
Khon Kaen Vithes Suksa Bilingual School has adopted the Cambridge curriculum from Cambridge Assessment International Education based in Cambridge, UK. This is developed in conjunction with the main curriculum of the school. The school was accredited by Cambridge Examination International Education (now renamed Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) for curriculum and Cambridge International School, as well as Cambridge Primary School in 2014. Initially, it was used to manage teaching and learning subjects in English, Mathematics and Science.
Khon Kaen Vithes Suksa Bilingual School has a team of highly qualified Thai and foreign teachers who’s experience enables us to deliver our international programmes. Class sizes are limited to no more than twenty-five students and teaching is adapted according to the ability of the students. This makes Khon Kaen Vithes Suksa Bilingual School recognized internationally. Students who have completed their studies at KKVS are welcome at a growing number of universities both in Thailand and around the world.
Khon Kaen Vithes Suksa Bilingual students will be prepared from the kindergarten level, through learning using English as a medium with a variety of teaching methods that allow students to use English naturally. Both in the classroom, outside the classroom, as well as through playing and daily routines. It allows students to study at the primary level to their full potential.
Khon Kaen Vithes Suksa Bilingual School organizes teaching and learning according to the Cambridge Curriculum from the first grade level and upwards, and organizes a Progress Test at the end of every semester every year. Students’ progress is tracked as they progress from Secondary 3 to Secondary 6 and we conduct Checkpoint tests for students graduating Secondary 3 and Secondary 6 every April. This is to monitor developments in various fields and reflect students’ achievements in each subject matter. In addition, it is also used to design learning in each phase to promote development to suit their potential. The exams are held at the same time as schools in various countries around the world and the results of the examinations will be announced in June each year.
For Secondary level, the school offers Cambridge courses at the IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) level, which the school requires students to study with many opting to take exams in English, Mathematics and the Sciences as well as other subjects.
